“Circle of Giving”
Brings Smiles Through Clothes and
Food Distribution in Baghbazar
Staff Reporter [24 Ghanta Khaskhabar] In a heartwarming act of compassion and community service, Circle of Giving, a charitable trust based in Kolkata, organized a clothes donation and food packet distribution drive for underprivileged individuals in the Baghbazar area. The event took place at Nivedita Udyan, Baghbazar, on June 11, 2025, and saw enthusiastic participation from both trust members and local volunteers.
The initiative was led by the trust’s core members: Mrs. Rupa Halder, President and Settlor of the trust; Mr. Jitendra Chaudhari, Secretary; Mr. Tarunkanti Halder, Treasurer; along with Mrs. Sheta Halder Kundu and Master Utkarsh Chaudhari, both active members of the trust. Together, they personally oversaw the distribution of food packets and clothes to the needy, ensuring every recipient was treated with dignity and care.
Beyond the trust members, the success of the event was made possible with the dedicated support of several community members, including Mrs. Ratna Kundu, Mr. Prakash Chandra Kundu, Mr. Praharaj Kundu, Mr. Swapan Bhuiyan, Dr. Prasanta Dutta, and Mrs. Jayanti Banerjee, who volunteered their time and efforts on the ground.
This is not the first time Circle of Giving has stepped up for social good. The trust is known for organizing similar outreach programs during festive occasions such as Holi, where they distribute gifts, and sweets to bring colour and joy into the lives of underprivileged children.

বাগবাজারে শিশুদের মুখে হাসি ছড়িয়ে দিল কাপড় ও খাদ্য বিতরণ মাধ্যমে
নিজস্ব সংবাদদাতা ঃ একটি হৃদয়গ্রাহী সহানুভূতি এবং সেবা প্রদর্শনকারী কাজ হিসেবে, কলকাতাভিত্তিক চ্যারিটেবল ট্রাস্ট ‘সার্কেল অফ গিভিং’ ১১ জুন, ২০২৫ তারিখে বাগবাজার এলাকার পিছিয়ে পড়া মানুষদের জন্য কাপড় ও খাদ্য প্যাকেট বিতরণ কর্মসূচি আয়োজন করেছে। এই অনুষ্ঠানটি বাগবাজারের নিবেদিতা উদ্যানএ অনুষ্ঠিত হয় এবং এতে ট্রাস্টের সদস্যরা ও স্থানীয় স্বেচ্ছাসেবকরা উৎসাহের সঙ্গে অংশগ্রহণ করেন।
এই উদ্যোগটি পরিচালনা করেন ট্রাস্টের প্রধান সদস্যরা: মিসেস রূপা হালদার, ট্রাস্টের সভাপতি এবং প্রতিষ্ঠাতা; মিস্টার জিতেন্দ্র চৌধুরি, সাধারণ সম্পাদক; মিস্টার তারুণকান্তি হালদার, কোষাধ্যক্ষ; এবং মিসেস শেতা হালদার কুন্ডু ও মাস্টার উৎপল চৌধুরি, ট্রাস্টের সক্রিয় সদস্যরা। তাঁরা ব্যক্তিগতভাবে খাদ্য প্যাকেট এবং কাপড় বিতরণ নিশ্চিত করেন, যাতে প্রতিটি গ্রহণকারী সম্মান এবং যত্নের সাথে পেতে পারেন।
ট্রাস্টের সদস্যদের পাশাপাশি, এই অনুষ্ঠানটির সাফল্য সম্ভব হয়েছে স্থানীয় সম্প্রদায়ের কয়েকজন সদস্যের একাগ্র সহযোগিতায়, যাদের মধ্যে মিসেস রত্না কুন্ডু, মিস্টার প্রকাশ চন্দ্র কুন্ডু, মিস্টার প্রহরাজ কুন্ডু, মিস্টার স্বপন ভূঁইয়া, ড. প্রশান্ত দত্ত এবং মিসেস জয়ন্তী বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় রয়েছেন, যাঁরা তাদের সময় এবং শ্রম দিয়েছেন মাঠে।
এটি সার্কেল অফ গিভিং–এর প্রথম কাজ নয়। ট্রাস্টটি ছুটি বা উৎসবের সময় যেমন হোলি–তে শিশুদের জন্য উপহার এবং মিষ্টি বিতরণের জন্যও পরিচিত, যাতে তাদের জীবন রঙিন এবং আনন্দময় হতে পারে।
তাদের ধারাবাহিক দয়ালু কর্মের মাধ্যমে ‘সার্কেল অফ গিভিং’ একটি আশার আলো হয়ে উঠেছে, যা আমাদের মনে করিয়ে দেয় যে, সামান্য সদিচ্ছার কাজও বড় পরিবর্তন আনতে পারে। ২৪ ঘন্টা খাসখবরের তরফ থেকে ‘সার্কেল অফ গিভিং’ এর এই মানবিক প্রয়াসকে কুর্নিশ জানাই।
